For the Salmon:

  •   1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed and cut into bite-sized cubes

  •   2 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce)

  •   1 tbsp honey

  •   1 tsp sesame oil

  •   1 clove garlic, minced

  •   1/2 tsp grated ginger

  •   1 tsp sriracha or chili paste (optional, for extra heat)

For the Tacos:

  •   Butter head lettuce leaves, washed and patted dry

  •   1 tbsp furikake seasoning

  •   Thinly sliced green onions (for garnish)

  •   Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Salmon: In a medium bowl, whisk together the tamari, honey, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sriracha (if using). Add the salmon cubes to the marinade, tossing gently to coat. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb flavors.

  2. Cook the Salmon: Air fry the salmon at 360 degrees for 12 minutes. Alternatively, heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated salmon cubes, cooking for 3-4 minutes per side until salmon is cooked through and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. Assemble the Tacos: Place a few pieces of cooked salmon onto each butter lettuce leaf. Sprinkle furikake seasoning over the salmon, and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

  4. Serve: I love to serve the hot honey tamari salmon tacos with a side of the Asian-style cauliflower rice or sushi rice. Enjoy these light, flavorful lettuce wraps as a delicious dinner or serve as an appetizer to a group!
